INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLIES: MADUGU INVITES AJIBADE, NNADOZIE, AND 23 OTHERS TO ALGERIA

Date:

Super Falcons Head Coach Justine Madugu has announced the invitation of team captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and 23 other players for two international friendly matches against Algeria in Lagos at the end of this month.

The matches are scheduled to take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Saturday, 26th October, and Tuesday, 29th October.

This will mark the first time the Falcons are playing international friendlies on home soil since the Aisha Buhari Invitational Tournament, which was held at the same venue three years ago.

These matches will also be the first regrouping of the Super Falcons since the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament in France this past summer, following the departure of American coach Randy Waldrum.

The Algerian delegation is expected to arrive in Nigeria on Wednesday ahead of the fixtures which will be overseen by FIFA match officials from Benin Republic.
