The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel has appreciated the Inspector General of Police for inaugurating the Special Protection Unit Base of the Nigeria Police Force (SPU- Base).
The Inspector General of Police, Alkali Usman inaugurated the base, an initiative of Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel, at the Special Protection Unit Base 27, Awa, Onna Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The governor further approved additional equipment for the smooth take-off of the base, reiterating his commitments to partner the Nigeria Police Force for protection of lives and property in the State.
Also, the Governor donated 15 operational vehicles to support the police and assures of his resolve to fulfilling his promise of 100 vehicles to the Police in furtherance of his demonstration towards strengthening the security in the State.
