Gunmen Abduct Three Pastors Enroute Kogi, Demand N80m Ransom

The gunmen who kidnapped three pastors on their way to crusade in Kogi State last week have demanded a ransom of N80 million for their release.

The pastors were reportedly abducted on Friday along Ochadamu-Okele-Eluje Road in Ofu Local Government Area of state while going for a three-day crusade.

Among the abducted clerics was a certain Pastor Sunday Emmanuel Abbah from Olamaboro Local Government Area of the state who resides in the state capital Lokoja.

A relative of one of the abducted clerics revealed that the kidnappers were demanding a ransom of N80 million. 

The Kogi State Police Public Relations Officer, William Aya, who had earlier confirmed the kidnap of the clerics, said that the state police command had deployed officers to rescue the victims safely.
