Governor Umo Eno Announces ₦80,000 Minimum Wage, Constitutes Implementation Committee

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has announced the increment of the new minimum wage for all state government employees to ₦80,000.

Pastor Umo Eno who made this announcement in a statement released by the Commissioner of Information, Comrade Ini Ememobong, disclosed that the governor has constituted an implementation committee, which will be led by the Head of the Civil Service, Elder Effiong Essien, to ensure a smooth rollout of this policy.

He further mentioned that the committee has been given one month to deliver its report on how the wage increase will be implemented, to ensure transparency in addressing the workers welfare in the state.

Pastor Eno also reaffirmed his commitment to improving the welfare of workers in the state.
