Governor Fintiri Assures NFF of World-Class Stadium in Yola in Few Months’ Time

Date:

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has committed to ensuring the completion of a grand stadium in the capital city, Yola, by the end of March 2025.

Governor Fintiri made this promise on Thursday during a meeting at the Government House with a delegation from the Nigeria Football Federation, led by its President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau.

The governor emphasized that the stadium project represents his administration’s effort to address poverty, youth restiveness, and juvenile delinquency. He also invited the NFF to visit the construction site and provide guidance to the government.

In response, Alhaji Gusau expressed enthusiasm about the governor’s commitment to completing the stadium within the proposed timeframe.

Alhaji Gusau recommended that Governor Fintiri sponsor an Under-17 Football Championship, organized by the Adamawa State Football Association, to discover and develop young talent from the grassroots level.
