Contractors in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have been cautioned against initiating unnecessary cost changes on ongoing projects. FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike delivered this warning during the flag-off ceremony for the Aguma Palace to New Market Junction road project in Gwagwalada Council Area. This marks the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s eighth road construction project launch.
In his address, Minister Wike emphasized that contractors must adhere strictly to the original contract scope without modifications. He highlighted the importance of sticking to the agreed terms to ensure timely project delivery.
Gwagwalada Area Council Chairman, Alh. Abubakar Jibrin Giri, expressed gratitude to the Minister for his dedication to rural infrastructure development, noting the positive impact on residents in rural communities.
The Minister is set to conclude a nine-day event series tomorrow with a Youth Empowerment Event, aimed at improving living standards for young people in the FCT.
