EDO QUEENS HELD TO GOALLESS DRAW BY FC MASAR IN CAF WOMEN’S CHAMPIONS

Date:

Nigerian champions Edo Queens were held to a goalless draw by Egypt’s FC Masar in their second Group B match of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco, leaving their chances of advancing to the semifinals hanging in the balance.

With the result, Edo Queens remain at the top of their group, tied on four points with FC Masar, while Mamelodi Sundowns sit in third with three points.

This means that Coach Moses Aduku’s side must secure at least a draw in their final group match against Sundowns on Saturday to secure a place in the last four.

Edo Queens are the third Nigerian club to compete in the prestigious competition, following Rivers Angels in 2021 and Bayelsa Queens in 2022.
