ECOWAS Wrestling Tournament Kicks Off in Abuja with Strong Support from NSC

The National Sports Commission (NSC), led by Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko, has officially welcomed participating nations to the ECOWAS Wrestling Tournament, currently underway in Abuja.

During the opening ceremony, Mallam Dikko reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to fostering the growth and promotion of traditional sports. He emphasized that the Sports Commission is dedicated to leveraging sports as a tool for youth empowerment, regional integration, and economic development.

The 13th edition of the tournament, which runs until March 8, is expected to feature around 55 wrestlers from across the ECOWAS region.
