Club World Cup: PSG, Botafogo, Inter Miami Advance to Knockout Stage

Paris Saint-Germain, Botafogo, and Inter Miami have all secured spots in the knockout stage of the FIFA Club World Cup following decisive group-stage encounters.

Botafogo progressed despite a 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid, with the Spanish side needing a three-goal margin to qualify. The Brazilian club held firm defensively, ensuring their advancement at Atletico’s expense.

In another Group B clash, Paris Saint-Germain overcame Seattle Sounders 2-0 to top the group. The European champions now prepare to face Group A runners-up Inter Miami, led by their iconic captain, Lionel Messi.

Inter Miami booked their place in the next round following a 2-2 draw with Palmeiras. Meanwhile, FC Porto and Al Ahly bowed out of the competition after playing to a dramatic 4-4 draw in the early hours of Tuesday.
