Governor Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele has said the apex bank might reconsider the new weekly cash withdrawal limits of N100 000 and N500 000 for individuals and corporate bank customers.
While assuring Nigerians of the CBN’s flexibility, Emefiele stated that its earlier decision was not targeted at anyone but to strengthen the nation’s economy.
The CBN governor also stated that the CBN has distributed the new N200, N500 and N1000 notes to banks for disbursement to customers ahead of the December 15 earlier scheduled for circulation of the new notes.
