President Muhammadu Buhari arrived at Eagle Square in Abuja for the 2022 Democracy Day Parade today.
The parade is an annual exercise held in honour of the nation’s return to democracy and to remember the heroes who fought hard for the cause.
The president’s arrival was lauded by a general salute signalling the official kick-off of the parade exercise in the nation’s beautiful capital. The guards had filed into formation with several general salutes taken to welcome squad leaders and the commander of the Guards Brigade before the president’s arrival.
President Buhari is expected to inspect the guards and sign the anniversary register before the conclusion of the parade formalities.
