Brighton confirms signing of new goalkeeper

Premier League club, Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper, Bart Verbruggen from Belgian Pro League side, Anderlecht.

The 20-year-old penned a five-year deal with the Seagulls.

The club in a tweet on Monday, wrote, “We’re delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen from Anderlecht on a five-year contract until June 2028.”

Verbruggen arrived at The Amex for a fee of £16.3 million.

The Dutch goalkeeper was named the Belgian club’s 2022-23 player of the season.

Verburggen becomes Brighton’s fourth major signing of the summer, following Brazil forward Joao Pedro from Watford, Liverpool’s James Milner, and Germany midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud from Borussia Dortmund.
