Social media influencer Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, alongside his lawyer Deji Adeyanju, arrived at the National Assembly Complex for a joint committee hearing investigating allegations of corruption against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCS).
This follows claims by controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, alias Bobrisky, who accused both the EFCC and NCS of demanding bribes to allow him to serve his prison sentence in the VIP section of the Kirikiri Medium Custodial Centre, Lagos. Bobrisky was convicted in April for naira abuse.
The controversy erupted after a voice note shared by VeryDarkMan revealed Bobrisky’s allegations that, following his sentencing, his godfather and the Controller General of the NCS arranged for him to serve his six-month sentence in a private apartment.
