Alhassan Yusuf Completes Super Eagles Squad in Kigali

Midfielder Alhassan Yusuf has joined the Super Eagles camp in Kigali, completing Head Coach Eric Chelle’s 23-man squad ahead of Friday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.

Yusuf, who plays for Major League Soccer Club New England Revolution, arrived on Wednesday after missing the team’s first training session on Tuesday. The 24-year-old is expected to participate in the Super Eagles’ second training session later tonight as they prepare for the crucial fixture.

The Super Eagles will face the Amavubi of Rwanda at 5 p.m. on Friday, aiming to secure their first victory in the World Cup qualifying campaign. The match is a pivotal one for Nigeria as they seek to strengthen their position in the qualifying group.
