Akwa United Secures Vital Point in 1-1 Draw Against Rangers

Akwa United of Uyo put up a determined performance to secure a 1-1 draw against Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) defending champions Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Sunday. The result provides a crucial boost to Akwa United’s fight against relegation.

Osoba Kabir fired the visitors ahead in the 24th minute, but Rangers responded quickly after the break, with Isaac Saviour netting the equalizer just three minutes into the second half.

Despite the valuable away point, Akwa United remains in 19th place on the NPFL table with 28 points from 28 matches. However, the result offers hope as they continue their battle to retain their top-flight status.
