AKWA IBOM STATE GOVERNOR PASTOR UMO ENO NAMES DAUGHTER TO SUCCEED LATE WIFE AS FIRST LADY

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has appointed his eldest daughter, Mrs. Helen Eno Obareki, to succeed his late wife, Pastor (Mrs.) Patience Eno, as the new First Lady of the state. This decision aims to continue the legacy of his late wife’s initiatives through the Office of the First Lady.

 

The announcement came during a condolence visit by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, to the Government House in Uyo. Governor Eno expressed his intention to preserve and expand the programs initiated by his late wife, ensuring their continued impact on the state.

A gathering of dignitaries marked the solemn occasion, with Governor Eno thanking Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her support and motherly care during this period of loss. He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to contributing to the success of President Tinubu’s government.

In her message, Senator Oluremi Tinubu praised the late Pastor Mrs. Patience Eno as a woman of peace and purpose, dedicated to uplifting her community. She also pledged her ongoing support for Akwa Ibom State and the legacies of the late First Lady.

Accompanying the First Lady on this visit were the wife of the Vice President, Alhaja Nana Shettima, the wife of the Senate President, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, and the wives of other ministers and governors. Senator Oluremi Tinubu also signed the condolence register during the event.
