Air Peace has announced it will commence direct flights from Abuja to London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports starting October 26, 2025, becoming the first Nigerian carrier to operate scheduled services from the capital to both of the UK’s major international gateways.
In a statement released on Sunday by airline spokesperson Efe Osifo-Whiskey, the airline said the new routes will offer travellers seamless access from Nigeria’s capital to London with fares starting from ₦1 million for a round trip.
“Travellers originating from any of Air Peace’s domestic destinations across Nigeria can now book throughfares via Abuja to either Heathrow or Gatwick using a single ticket, eliminating the need for multiple bookings or baggage re-checks,” the statement said.
The airline also noted that inbound passengers from London can connect to multiple Nigerian cities via Abuja each morning, including Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Benin, Warri, Owerri, Kano, Yola, Gombe, and Asaba, with additional destinations expected to be added in due course.
Air Peace described the new routes as a significant step in “democratising international air travel for Nigerians,” reinforcing its status as a key player in transforming the African aviation landscape.
