Ahmed Musa talks tough ahead of Ghana clash

Date:

As all is now set for an all-important match between Black Stars of Ghana and Super Eagles of Nigeria, Nigeria Skipper, Ahmed Musa has talked tough ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup playoff.

Musa while interacting with journalists in Abuja after training said that Nigeria has what it takes to beat the Black Stars of Ghana when they square off for the first leg of the Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier in Kumasi.

The first leg was initially set for the Cape Coast Stadium, but the Ghanaian Football Association requested that the game be moved to the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, with the return leg in four days’ time at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.

Musa also stated that Super Eagles are not bothered about the records that the Ghanaians have set at the stadium, as he believes Nigeria can beat Ghana at the Baba Yara Stadium to secure a first-leg advantage.

“It’s not just about football. It’s about politics, it’s about Jollof, Nigeria-Ghana, about music, acting, everything, and football has brought us again together to show who’s the king. I know we’ll do our best to make Nigerians proud,” Musa told NFF TV.

“It’s a fight in and outside the pitch. We know that this game is not going to be very easy, so we just have to give all we have in the first game before we come back home,” Musa concluded.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles will jet out to Kumasi today as the match is slated for 25th of March 2022.
