Nigeria’s Ambassador to China, Ambassador AbdulRahman Bello Dambazzau, has commenced a series of high level diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
As part of consultations following his assumption of office, Ambassador Dambazzau met with Liberia’s Ambassador to China, McKinley Thomas, who also serves as Dean of West African Ambassadors in Beijing.
The meeting focused on issues affecting the West African diplomatic community in China and explored opportunities for closer collaboration among member states.
The Nigerian envoy also held talks with Seychelles’ Ambassador to China, Anne Lafortune, where both diplomats discussed areas of mutual interest and prospects for enhanced bilateral cooperation.
The engagements come as African countries seek stronger diplomatic coordination and deeper economic partnerships with China amid evolving global alliances and increasing competition for investment and development opportunities.
