10 Dead, 7 Injured in Ibadan Building Collapse

A building collapse in the Jegede Oluloyo area of Ibadan, Oyo State, in the early hours of Thursday, claimed ten lives and left seven others injured.

The incident, reported at 2 a.m., prompted rescue efforts led by the Oyo State Fire Services Agency, which confirmed the recovery of ten bodies and the rescue of seven survivors from the debris.

The agency noted that rescue operations are ongoing to ensure no one is left trapped.

General Manager Yemi Akinyinka added that the initial distress call came from residents, with some recoveries made before fire services arrived.
